You can visit the Birth SiteKiosk, modeled after the original house turret, which displays memorabilia from the president’s time in the White House. The site also has a replica of the White House colonnade and Rose Garden. The gardens can be rented for private events or weddings, which are both available for visitors.

Another important place in Omaha is Malcolm X’s birth site. Born in Omaha on 19 May 1925, this landmark honors the African-American activist. Located at 3902 Davenport st, the Joslyn Castle is another must-see for the area. The former train station is now a museum where you can learn more about the history of Omaha and the early Pioneers. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and have a conservatory. The grounds also have a lily pond. While you’re here, don’t forget to visit the adjoining gardens.
