Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

If you want to see beautiful animals, the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium Omaha NE is the place for you. It is located at 3701 S 10th St, Omaha, NE 68107. With over fifty acres and over nine hundred and sixty-two species of animals, this zoo is a great family destination. During the day, you can enjoy an exhibit on the nocturnal life of animals. In the evening, you can enjoy an evening snack, and stay overnight in a tent in the zoo’s wilderness.

If you are not a wine drinker, you can attend the Nebraska Wine Festival, which is held annually in August. Tickets for the festival include five glasses of Nebraska wine. You can purchase beer or wine for a lower price if you do not want to indulge in wine tasting. For kids, there are separate tickets available. You can even find some food vendors there. While you’re at the Zoo, try to find time to relax and enjoy the fun live music and food vendors.

In January, Eugenia and Sonny, two elephant calves, were born at the Zoo. Their father, 15-year-old Chino, was happy to give birth to his second calf. The zoo has eight elephants in total. The zoo will have a calf soon and the public will be able to see the newborn at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.

During summer, the zoo can be busy, so it is best to visit early or late. You can also find less crowds if you go during the week. Visit during the week, Monday through Thursday, as these days tend to be less popular. In addition to the Aquarium and the Gorilla Valley, the Zoo’s Wild Kingdom Pavilion is equipped with air conditioning. There are also spray misters throughout the Zoo.

Besides the zoo and the aquarium, you can also visit the Lauritzen Gardens, an indoor botanical garden center. The garden features three miles of hiking trails, an indoor conservatory, and a model railroad garden. The zoo is the perfect place to spend time with your family, and you can spend time with your partner while you are there. While you are there, don’t forget to check out the Lauritzen Gardens, a popular attraction in Omaha. This beautiful garden is filled with many native plants to the area. It was built in 1982, and has over 100 acres of beautifully manicured grounds. You can even visit Sandy’s Splish Splash Garden in the summer and enjoy a splashing water experience!

If you’re looking for something a little less traditional, but equally entertaining, check out the Joslyn Art Museum. This historic building is home to several permanent exhibits, as well as a traveling exhibit or two. There’s even a sculpture garden, if you’re into sculptures and history. Whether you’re looking for a unique way to spend your vacation, Omaha has plenty to offer.
