Kennedy Jaerger Joins 316 Strategy Group’s Social Media Team

Meet Kennedy Jaerger

Kennedy is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Minor in Management. During college, she served on the social media and events committees for the Iowa State Fashion Show, where she strengthened her content development and brand storytelling skills. She has always had a passion for creativity and social media, which makes this role an ideal fit. Kennedy enjoys creating engaging content, understanding platform behavior, and helping businesses build trust and grow through social media.

Outside of work, Kennedy can be found running or lifting. She is currently training for the Honolulu Marathon. During college, she lived in Hawaii for six months through the National Student Exchange Program and attended the University of Hawaii, where she developed her love for travel, fashion, and coffee.

Kennedy’s favorite platform is Instagram. She believes Instagram stands out because it listens to creators and business owners and continues to evolve based on what users need to succeed. Kennedy stays plugged into new platform features and upcoming updates currently in beta testing. She encourages businesses to stay true to their identity, stay on mission, and create content that feels real to their brand. She notes that carousels are currently outperforming Reels for many industries and encourages brands to lean into that format for now.

Right now carousels are outperforming Reels, and Facebook is gaining momentum again. The brands seeing success are the ones willing to experiment, stay consistent, and commit to being themselves. ~ Kennedy

Kennedy also reminds businesses not to overlook Facebook. Increase your posting frequency. Post multiple times a day if the content supports it. Spark conversations in the comments. Use short thread-style comment replies to build momentum and signal value to the algorithm. Consistency is currency.
