The First 30 Days at 316 Strategy Group

One month into my journey at 316 Strategy Group, and I can already say — this is the most creatively fulfilling job I’ve ever had.

From behind-the-scenes shoots to pizza personality tests, this past month has taken me on a whirlwind creative journey. Day after day, I’ve had the opportunity to stretch my imagination in new ways — not only sharpening my photography, graphic design, and videography skills, but also learning how to think on my feet, which has become essential in such a fast-paced environment.

From Messy Sandwiches to Mood Boards

Some of my favorite solo shoots this month were delightfully weird and wildly fun:

  • Experimenting with v-flats to explore different lighting techniques
  • Capturing the perfect shot of the now-famous Orange Chair
  • Eating a very messy sandwich — on camera
  • Designing a mood board inspired by the essence of a chicken sandwich
  • And my personal favorite: producing a podcast with myself (yes, it’s a thing!)

The range of projects has been unmatched — and every one has helped me grow in unexpected ways.

Finding My Voice Through Visual Storytelling

I’ve bounced from photoshoots to video shoots, growing my eye for filming and editing. Reigniting my love for creative filmmaking has been incredibly fulfilling.

The freedom I’ve had to express ideas through video reminded me exactly why I fell in love with content creation in the first place.

Since I was young, I knew I wanted to be a photographer — someone who captures fleeting moments that will never exist again. Over time, that passion evolved into a deep appreciation for video, editing, and storytelling.

Getting to do all of that in one job — and call it work — has been nothing short of a dream.

Why This Role Feels Like a Dream Job

For years, I’ve been building my creative skills — from photography to filming to editing — always hoping I’d land in a role where I could put it all into practice.

This is that job. It’s the kind of position I imagined myself in for as long as I can remember.

If someone had told me six months ago that this would be my first job out of college, I would’ve laughed. Everyone says your first job usually isn’t the one you really want — and I’m glad that advice turned out to be wrong.

What’s Next on This Creative Journey

This past month at 316 Strategy Group has flown by. Every day brings a new challenge, a new opportunity, and a new way to express myself creatively.

I’ve never felt more inspired — or more at home.
